Halloween can be a lot of fun, but it can also be tough on your teeth. Want to join the fun of trick-or-treating without risking cavities? Here are 5 spooky non-candy treats that we’ve found are especially popular!

1. Toys!

Small toys can be a big hit! Spooky or silly masks can spark unlimited hours of pranks, games, and skits. Bouncy balls and erasers are another fun choice — especially if they’re glow-in-the-dark! We love spooky treats that aren’t candy, like toys, because they tend to last longer — and inspire more creativity! Make sure to choose age-appropriate to ensure that they aren’t too scary for younger children and won’t be a choking hazard!

2. Stickers!

Stickers are another great idea for spooky treats that aren’t candy! Halloween stickers come in a wide variety of designs for all ages — some may even include favorite characters from trending movies or TV shows! Many children also enjoy having a special sticker book to collect their stickers in.

3. Bubbles!

We’re big fans of the endless hours of fun that bubbles can inspire! Simple miniature bottles of bubbles are perfect for handing out to trick-or-treaters. You can also buy automatic bubble machines that blow clouds of bubbles to run, jump, and dance in. We also love bubble guns that can make playing with bubbles into a game!

4. Putty!

Putty is another super fun idea with unlimited possibilities! Putty can be sparkly, glow-in-the-dark, and so much more! Kids can mold it into designs, use it to copy patterns from other objects, or simply play with it for healthy sensory development and self-regulation. Make sure that putty is only given to children who are old enough to play with it safely. Play-doh may be a more appropriate option for younger children; with super-vision of course!

5. Games!

Games are another great alternative to simply handing out candy! Give out small puzzles or word games! These are great because they can ensure that everyone gets included in the fun and activities.
